Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy, born November 25, 1968 is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her most well-known work is her role on the American television series Law & Order, on which she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also acted on films such as RoboCop 3 (most wanted) and Crossing Jordan (which she also wrote and directed). Hennessy was brought up in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy, John's father, was a marketing and meat sales and marketing executive. The position required significant travel and meant that the family had to move frequently. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine died in the year 1982. Her daughter was left in the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr., her younger brother, is Jacqueline Hennessy the identical twin, who is a journalist in a magazine and a TV host in Canada. Hennessy has Irish as well as French, Swedish, Italian, and Swedish heritage from her father, and most of her Ukrainian Roma and Austrian heritage from her mother. After finishing her studies at Grand River Collegiate Institute (both in Kitchener), she went to Stanley Park Senior Public School. She also busked on the Toronto subway. Hennessy's sister and she made their acting debuts as twin callgirls on 1988's Dead Ringers. The actress was nominated for the role of Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who was eventually offered the role.She appeared on Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she was on the show in the role of Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted three seasons. She left the show in 1996.
