Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born July 23rd 1970 is an American actress. Cordelia Chase was a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural drama series (1997-1999), and its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She was also in Charmed (2004) as well as Kendall Casablanca's role in Veronica Mars (2006). Rebecca Sewell was in The Lying Game (2012)-2013. Lacy was part of The Expendables film franchise (2010)-2012. Carpenter was born in Las Vegas (Nevada), the daughter of Christine Carpenter who is the bird sanctuary's worker, as well as Don Carpenter, an entrepreneur. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was an active member of a troupe that performed in song and dance that performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) when Carpenter was 15 years old. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter embarked on a journey to Europe after graduating. Carpenter returned to San Diego and worked in the video store as an aerobics instructor, property manager, and as a clerk. In 1991, she worked as a cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles. She was swimming in San Diego with two male friends when Henry Hubbard Jr., an ex-police officer from San Diego and serial rapist and a serial rapist, attacked them. During the battle, both her friends and Hubbard were shot, causing him to flee the scene. Both of them survived the attack. Hubbard was taken into custody after being found guilty and sentenced 56-years in prison for a number of assaults. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach, which he'd left at the scene, and the flashlight was one of the key pieces of evidence used against Hubbard.
