Emily Swallow

American actor Emily Swallow, born December 18, 1979. She is well-known for her role in The Mentalist's Kim Fischer and Supernatural's 11th season as Amara / The Darkness. She also played the Armorer in Star Wars' live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily played a small role in The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born 18 December 1979 in Washington, D.C. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia and Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began acting while at Stanton College Preparatory School. Additionally, she was a part of professional and amateur productions of theatre. Swallow received a BA in Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Virginia in 2001. She continued her studies for an MFA in Acting in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Acting. She appeared in two international premieres: Donald Margulies' play The Country House, Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse; and Mark Rylance's production of Nice Fish, at the Guthrie Theatre. (citation needed) She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the best female performer for the role of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman collaborated on a stage show titled Jac N Swallow. It was presented at Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps as they deal with very diverse life circumstances.
