Ayelet Zurer
Ayelet Zuer, an Israeli actress, has
been praised for her performances. She was born in Tel Aviv and was first
discovered by Hollywood when Steven Spielberg cast her in her first
English-speaking film role as Eric Bana’s wife in Munich (2005). Zurer is an
American actress that has appeared in Studio films, such as Sony Pictures'
Vantage Point and Vantage Point, starring Dennis Quaid (with William Hurt),
Samuel Goldwyn’s Fugitive pieces opposite Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader’s Adam
Resurrected in the film with Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's
Angeles and Demons opposite Tom Hanks. Darling Companion is an ensemble film by
Lawrence Kasdan which features Diane Keaton and Kevin Kline. Warner Bros. Man
Of Steel with Russell Crow. Ewan McGregor shot Rodrigo Garcia, Last Days in the
Desert, and she was waiting for the release of The Last Knights, a film by
Kazuaki Kiriya, starring Clive Owen. In recognition of her performance as
Hostages' lead actress, she won the Gold Nymph Award at the 54th Festival of
Television in Monte-Carlo. Ayelet won the Israeli Film And Television Academy
Award for her role as the lead in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet also won nominations
for her work in the films Only Dogs Run Free, The Dybbuk from the Holy Apple
Field, Desperado, and Rutenberg. Zurer was the winner of the Haifa
International Film Festival critic prize and received a star on Haifa's
"film boulevard" for her international and local achievements. Zurer
was also honored with the Israeli Television Academy Award for her performance
on "In Treatment", an internationally acclaimed television series
that was adapted for American TV by HBO. In 2014 She was nominated as an
apposite actress in the best drama of 2014 "Shtisel" however she was
awarded the award for best actress in a drama for her portrayal of a brilliant
surgeon faced with the death and life dilemma in Hostages which was sold to
BBC4 and Canal Plus, and as an original format for the American ABC. She is the
"face " of one of Israel's leading women's fashion companies-
Golbary. She is a producer, a writer, an illustrator of two adult books,
"Shorts" and the bestseller "Badolina" written by Gabi
Nitazn. Ayelet has worked on a handful of her ideas in Israel and the US and
expressed an desire to work internationally with directors from all over,
including unknown writers/directors.
