Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who was previously TV correspondent for ABC News. She is well-known for her
work as co-anchor for Good Morning America Weekend from 2014 to 2018 and in her
role as co-host on The View from 2015 to the year 2018. Prior to this she was
the co-anchor on America This Morning (World News Now) as well as America This
Morning (America This Morning). After graduating, she worked in several
communications-related jobs including an operations position at Mills/James
Productions in Columbus, Ohio. Due to limited TV opportunities she was employed
in sales for radio. Her next job was an entire year as a production assistant
at WKEF/WRGT . She then occasionally anchor or report. She was one of the
weekend and weekday sports anchors at WCPO TV, Cincinnati, between 2002 and
2005. Her contract was terminated , and she became a reporter and anchor for
NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV, Chicago, from November 2005 to December 2011. In
December 2011 it was revealed that she was hired by the news division of ABC,
ABC News. She first made an appearance on ABC News on World News Now and
America This Morning on January 2 in 2012. She was a correspondent and
substitute for Good Morning America during this period. Later she was promoted
as a reporter based in New York for the entire ABC News programs. She hosted
America This Morning and World News Now's final show on January 22 2013. On
August 9, 2014, she was announced as the co-anchor on Good Morning America
Weekend, after the departure of Bianna Golodryga. The latter was transferred to
Yahoo! News. News. It was revealed on August 3 this year that she had been
renewed for for the 20th season. Season 21 also saw her renewed as cohost.
During the series' 22nd and 21st seasons, she was mostly on the program's Friday
episodes.
