Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario
Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. She is
the middle child of two siblings, one older, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper
Chalke. Sarah made her acting debut in a TV-made movie, City Boy (1992). In
1993, shortly after her first film, she was a candidate for the role of
"Becky" in the TV series Roseanne (1988). The show was in search of a
replacement for Alicia Goranson, who left the show to pursue studies at college.
Sarah completed her high school degree in 1995 and began filming the 1994-1995
Roseanne (1988) season. In 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film Ernest Goes to
School (1994), along with Jim Varney. In 1996, Sarah appeared in two films:
Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) where she was a
cheerleader who was named Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to play in the 1998
show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. This was one year after Roseanne (1988). It
was based on the television movie of the same name which was called Nothing Too
Good for a Cowboy (1998) that Sarah was also in. Sarah took over the role of
Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She announced that she
was planning to quit acting and go to university. (2001) (1993-1997) Was the as
the older sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988), but is older in real life.
She was a part of the 1999 CCMA Award Ceremony, where she received an award for
best single of 1999. September 1999: Participated at the age of eight in
Vancouver's stage productions. Is fluent in French as well as German. She works
in a hospice that caters to terminally ill children and works for the Audrey
Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke enjoys cooking with her friends (especially
Thai or sushi) and plays guitar as well as climb, ski (she's an instructor),
and kayaking. Her father is an attorney, and both parents operate a
child-adoption agency. A couple of years ago she traveled with her parents to
China for the purpose of coordinating the adoption of several orphans there.
